Both the Asus Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 different only in terms of screen size when it comes to the display forefront. Well, the handsets come with 5 inch and 6 inch respectively with both being IPS panels carrying HD 1280×720 pixel resolution. Also, the screens are layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 scratch resistant coating for added protection. Among the two, the Zenfone 5 has a better pixel density of 294 pixels per inch, whereas the larger offering has a relatively low 245 ppi pixel density. In terms of processing power, the Zenfone 6 employs a dual-core 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2580 chipset, whereas the 5 inch opponent comes with a dual-core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 chipset, both with Hyper Threading technology. Otherwise, both the handsets are similar with PowerVR SGX544MP2 graphics engine and 2 GB of RAM. However, the former with an advanced chipset that is slightly faster with a faster graphics unit.

When it comes to the imaging hardware, the 6 inch model arrives with a 13 MP primary camera, whereas it’s smaller kin comes with an 8 MP main camera. With these aspects, the handsets are on par with the other handsets in the market with similar pricing.
Battery and Features
The Zenfone 5 is powered by a 2,110 mAh battery, whereas there is a juicier 3,300 battery in its 6 inch sibling. The former is rated to deliver up to 18.5 hours of talk time and 353 hours of standby time while the latter is claimed to pump in a life of up to 28 hours of talk time and up to 398 hours of standby time. Both the smartphones are fueled by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system and they can be upgraded to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Apart from this, they are packed with standard connectivity aspects such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual SIM functionality.

Asus has priced its offering reasonably in order to let them stay against their rivals in the highly competitive market.
